Life Advice from Ellie & Dutch

Q: Dear Doggy and Kitty, this year mommy and daddy said that I can pick what we leave out for Santa Claus and his reindeer. But I can’t remember what we put out last year and don’t know what would be good for Santa and Rudolph! Any ideas? – An excited child

E: You must include only the highest quality of treats!! I recommend peanut butter balls, or maybe some good quality Milk Bones. You could even leave out some peanut butter cookies! Just make sure there is enough for all those reindeer and Santa to share!

D: Classically, I have known my humans to leave out gingerbread cookies and a glass of milk for the Jolly Old Man, as well as some carrots for the reindeer. However, in my talkings with fellow felines, I have discovered that nearly every home leaves out the same things. This cannot possibly be good for Santa’s health, and diabetes could be just around the corner for him. Instead you should leave out some healthy snacks to combat the high amounts of sugar he will be ingesting throughout the night, and perhaps a glass of heavy cream to wash it down – a favourite treat of my own.
