Shmoo Review – Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey

Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey stars Forest Whitaker, Keegan-Michael Key, and new-comer to the silver screen, Madalen Mills. We follow Jeronicus Jangle (Whitaker), the greatest toymaker in all of the world in the aftermath of his apprentice, Gustafson (Key), stealing his invention notebook and taking over the title of ‘Greatest Toy Maker’.

Jeronicus must re-discover his inner magic with the help of his granddaughter (Mills) and reclaim his title.

This film is very reminiscent of the classic family films of the 90s; Flubber and The Santa Clause are the two films that stick out to me most. While watching the journey of Jeronicus we are transported back into a comfortable place and reminded about the wonders of Christmas. Whether that place is in front of the fire with a hot chocolate or a similar nostalgic feel of your choosing, Jingle Jangle will warm the Grinchiest of hearts this holiday season.

Written and directed by David E. Talbert, this holiday epic is sure to show you “something sensational, something spectacular, more than that it’s something revolutionary.”
