Shmoo Review Series Favourites: The Little Mermaid

Spring has come and what better time than in the midst of new growth, to talk about another series that brings smiles to faces. The series I am talking about is the Little Mermaid! Ariel is such a staple for young audiences everywhere because she teaches people how to find their voice. Below are my sorted favorites of The Little Mermaid!

(1)The Little Mermaid (1989) – Strong-willed and able to fight for her way, 16-year-old mermaid Ariel is one of the daughters of Triton, the king of the Sea. But his power cannot keep her from following her heart onto land.

(2)The Little Mermaid II; Return to the Sea (2000) – Ariel and Eric have a daughter, Melody, and they have always taught her that she must never go to the sea. But Melody has a mind of her own and a will as strong as Ariel’s and runs away, into the sea.

(3)The Little Mermaid Live (2019) – For those fans who couldn’t get enough Of Ariel and Eric, The Little Mermaid live brings you into a spectacle of stage and animation bringing to life the story of a mermaid who falls in love with a human.

(4)The Little Mermaid (The Series 1992-94) – Have you ever wondered what life was like when Ariel still had her fins? This series has all the right campy jokes, and quick humor you’d expect from the ’89 film.

(5)The Little Mermaid; Ariel’s Beginning (2008) – It’s hard to imagine a world in which music does not exist in Atlantica, with the colorful Jamaican singing crabs and grand musical shows they perform in The Little Mermaid. But go back to a time when music was outlawed and see how the mer-people lived.
